Common and adaptable desert shrub.

Flowers 1” with five yellow petals, Feb-Aug.

Fruits are small white fuzzy capsules with 5 seeds.

Crushed leaves have smell of desert rain.

Serves as a canopy or protection for animals.

Had many medicinal uses for native Americans.
