2’ dense shrub with whitish stems. Small leaves.
Flowers are small, fragrant with five purple-pink ¾” petals.
Flowers in early spring and early fall with rain.
Round barbed fruit which turns pinkish with age.
A hemiparasite, takes water from roots of nearby shrubs.
